Theophrastus ( - BC) Theophrastus was born in B.C. and was a student of Aristotle, who bequeathed to Theophrastus his writings, and designated him as his successor at his School. He was a scholar, botanist, biologist, and physicist. The Botanist is an artisanal Islay gin made by Bruichladdich Distillery.
